In September 1991, Victoria Falls Primary School opened in a undeveloped teak forest with fewer than 30 pupils, three teachers, and no headmaster. The original campus consisted only of the current Grade 1–4 block, administration offices, and toilets, while swimming lessons were held at local hotels and athletics took place on a small field cleared from the forest. In its early years, wildlife including elephants, buffalo, and occasionally lions frequently roamed the grounds, highlighting the remarkable journey from humble beginnings to a thriving educational institution serving the Victoria Falls community.
Victoria Falls Primary School seeks to provide a broad, modern and well-balanced Christian education, which aims to nurture each child to develop their full potential in a safe, stimulating and interesting environment.

The School’s Trust and Board of Governance provide strategic oversight and stewardship to ensure the long-term success and sustainability of the school. Working together, they ensure that sound governance practices are maintained, resources are managed responsibly, and decisions are made in the best interests of the students, staff, and wider school community.
There are three Trustees of the school. The Trustees are elected by the School Board of Governors.
There are a minimum of eight and a maximum of twelve members of the Board: Consisting of a Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer. There may also be a Teacher Liaison member, a Parent Liaison member and a Zambian representative.
The day to day affairs of the school and pupils are conducted by the Headmaster/mistress, with the assistance of a Deputy. The classes are managed by the teachers and teacher assistants.
