Victoria Falls Primary School is fairly isolated in terms of distances involved in competing with other schools of similar abilities and standard. Due to the distances involved the school bus travels extensively. A proportional size of the budget is allocated towards ensuring that the children are adequately exposed to this healthy competition. Accommodation and Travelling costs are built into the school fees and budget. Therefore children are expected to travel to compete when required.

Whenever possible, parents are expected to provide a plate of snacks/eats for each home fixture their child participates in, as well as for major inter-house sporting and school events. This is usually co ordinated by the school office.

School and class fields trips are arranged by the school as part of the curriculum taught. These trips not only cover the academic requirements but also positively enhances the social awareness, environmental education, confidence, responsibility, leadership skills and camaraderie and team work development of all children. Field trip destinations include: Matopos, Bulawayo and its surroundings, Chimanimani and Outward Bound courses, Masvingo and Great Zimbabwe, Painted Dog, Hwange National Park, Kariba and related Sailing, Shangani,(Jabulani camp), Kadoma (Lasting Impressions) and any other places of interest and educational value.
